Rafizi instructed to submit graft evidence to MACC

PKR has instructed party secretary-general Rafizi Ramli to submit evidence of his allegations of corruption in the Selangor government to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
PKR President Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail admitted to reporters that the WhatsApp conversation containing the allegations was leaked by an individual but she did not give any names.
The PKR president said the matter was decided by the party's political bureau at its meeting last night.

“The Political Bureau will also look into the allegation and conduct its own investigation. Action will be taken if it involves a party member,” she added.
The meeting was, however, not attended by both Rafizi and party deputy president and Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali.
The leaked conversation in the “Solidarity for Anwar” WhatsApp group last week saw Rafizi touching on demands for cash and women when dealing with the Selangor government. He also warned that he would expose those involved, unless the practice was stopped immediately.

Rafizi had last Friday admitted the message originated from him, saying it was “specific” and not “general”, but denied it involved an elected representative or state official.
Azmin has since denied such allegations against his state government.
On a related matter, Wan Azizah also denied that the party had discussed a motion to remove Rafizi as the secretary-general, following his leaked exposé.
