Sabri wants Penang voters to give BN back to govern the state again
Penang voters should give Barisan Nasional (BN) the mandate again to administer Penang following the failure of DAP in resolving issues arising during its eight-year administration.
Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the party had failed to fulfill all promises made in its manifesto for the last general election, which was prepared merely for them to capture the state from BN.
"Since the early days of DAP ruling Penang, the party has failed to fulfill all the promises it has made...(abolish) tolls, bridge and so forth were only election promises and have not been implemented.
"If we are still not aware of the lies by DAP, I think we or Penang will face problems...all the promises made are not fulfilled, they just want to garner votes," he told a press conference after officiating the Bayan Baru Umno division delegates meeting here Friday night.
Ismail Sabri, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, said the Penang DAP government had also failed to prove that they were clean and transparent when they were also facing the issue of corruption.
