Anyone who feel offended by words uttered by Red Shirts leader Jamal Yunos against election watchdog Bersih 5.0 can lodge police reports, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
The IGP, however, said the words used by Jamal were a matter of interpretation, "if they amount to something worth reporting.”
On Thursday, after Jamal was released from remand, he announced he was "declaring war” on Bersih and threatened to mobilise the Red Shirt movement nationwide against the yellow shirts.
“It’s up to him…It’s up to you. If you think that amounts to something that needs to be reported, then lodge a report. We will investigate.
“But to say he declared war…For me, that’s just a war of words. It’s how you accept it. You can wage your own war of words against him,” Khalid told reporters at the police academy on Friday.
