Police seek duo who 'stomped on Hadi picture'

Police are seeking two individuals who were photographed stomping on a picture of PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak embracing, during the Bersih 4 rally last weekend.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Zainuddin Ahmad said the two individuals were required to come to the Dang Wangi police headquarters immediately to assist investigations, The Star Online reported.
The case is being probed by the Bukit Aman Classified Investigation Unit under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code for intending to cause fear or alarm to the public, he said.
Federal Territories PAS commissioner Muhammad Noor Mohamad lodged a report over the matter at the Dang Wangi police station this morning.
Muhammad Noor had said that police action must be taken because the picture was doctored.
The party had also lodged multiple police reports on the incident today.
PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan said Bersih 4 participants responsible for the act must come forward to apologise over the incident.
Nasrudin also said it would be better for the rally organisers take responsibility to prove that it does not condone such a "dirty act".
Former law minister Zaid Ibrahim also called on the polls watchdog to apologise over the incident.
Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah said Bersih does not condone the act but questioned the need to apologise.
