Ivanka Trump mixes business with politics at Republican convention

As she pressed the case for her father to be elected the next occupant of the White House, Ivanka Trump was also quietly building her own brand.

The real estate mogul’s eldest daughter was poised and polished in a fetching pink sheath late Thursday as she marched to the podium to deliver remarks praising Donald Trump at the Republican convention.

The dress, it turns out, was from her eponymous clothing line – and she made sure shoppers knew how and where to purchase it when it goes on sale.

“Shop Ivanka’s look from her #RNC speech,” the 34-year-old mother of three wrote on Twitter the day after the speech.

She tweeted a link to another frock, which sells for $138 as part of the Ivanka Trump collection at Macy’s.

“Ivanka Trump’s sophisticated sheath dress works wonders at both social and professional occasions with sleek studwork and a fabulous fit,” the store’s website said describing the dress, which quickly sold out.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump – who has marketed a vast array of his own goods from wine and steaks to ties – has a more checkered relationship with Macy’s.

After the billionaire businessman characterized Mexican immigrants as criminals and rapists last summer, the storied department store stopped selling his menswear line.
