Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos deserves being punched on the nose for violating the spirit of Barisan Nasional and 1Malaysia, says Wanita MCA chairman Datuk Heng Seai Kie.

"Although he is an Umno leader, he has violated the spirit of Barisan and 1Malaysia which upholds peace, harmony and unity in the country.

"He is acting like the Opposition or pro-Opposition party members who are doing nothing constructive but creating chaos and tarnishing the image of the government and country," Heng said in a statement on Wednesday.

Heng said Jamal's actions only drew attention and sympathy towards Bersih 2.0 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah and PKR's Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin.

Jamal and his supporters had on Nov 13 pursued Zuraida and Bersih supporters throughout her constituency, mocking them as an LGBT group.

This led to a scuffle between the police and the Red Shirts group at Ampang Point shopping mall, ending in Jamal with a bleeding nose and the arrest of two Red Shirts members.

Heng said: "It is amusing to see someone like Jamal who calls for ‘war and bloodbath’ all the time, has finally been punched on the nose. All this while he has been hurling threats and going on violent rampages. What goes around comes around, and we can only say this serves him right!"

She also slammed Jamal's threats towards Zuraida and her party workers.

"We want the police to take a tougher stand against the Red Shirts and Jamal following 50 police reports that were lodged against him and his movement," Heng said.

Heng said that Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar should not dismiss Jamal's threats as a "mere war of words" as it will embolden supporters of the Red Shirts.

She urged Jamal to stop intimidating people, especially women.

"We have had enough of his show of manly arrogance and it is time for him to learn his lesson," she said.

She said Wanita MCA never agreed to street demonstrations, especially Bersih 5.0 "which has obviously violated its original objective and is now acting more pro-opposition to create chaos."
