Najib shared his pleasant chat with Obama in Facebook

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and US President Barack Obama met briefly on the sidelines of the Asean Summit in Laos.

Najib shared this in a Facebook post today, along with a picture of him, his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and the US president from a gala dinner for the summit last night.

“Had a pleasant chat with President Barack Obama at the Gala Dinner in conjunction with Asean and Related Summits in Laos. It was nice seeing you Mr President!” Najib wrote.

The prime minister has met with Obama several times since taking office, including once in Hawaii when the two were pictured golfing together on a holiday.

Obama also spoke highly of Najib in 2014 during the first of his two visits to Malaysia.

The two leaders are in Laos for the ongoing Asean and Related Summits.
