Abdul Latif Romly has broken the world record in the men’s long jump T20 event to deliver Malaysia's third Gold Medal in the Rio Paralympics
Malaysia has created a sensational history within a day when the paralympians has gone from never winning a gold medal to bagging three in the Rio Games.
Abdul Latif’s medal adds to those won by Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi and Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli yesterday.
Mohamad Ridzuan won the gold medal in the 100m T36 event with a time of 12.07s, ahead of ahead of Yang Yifei of China (12.20s) and Rodrigo Parreira da Silva of Brazil (12.54s).
Muhammad Ziyad took the top spot in the shot put F20 (intellectual disability) event with his world record 16.84m.
