Hordes of reporters stood outside his Pinhorn Road home.
The car of Lim’s legal adviser and Seri Delima Assemblyman R S N Rayer was seen parked outside the home.
Lawyer and Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh was also seen entering the house.
Both counsel did not field questions from reporters.
Lim’s office also did not respond to FMT’s query for comments.
Meanwhile, Lim’s chief counsel Gobind Singh Deo told FMT the MACC had taken down statements from the CM and his wife this morning.
Gobind said MACC officers interviewed Lim and Chew at 10am.
“After completing with YAB’s (Lim) statement, the MACC told YAB(Lim) that they wanted to go to his house. They went there after that.”
When asked if reports of Lim’s house was being “raided”, Gobind said :”Not sure if you can call it a raid.”
According to The Star Online, a four-car convoy from the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission left the offices at Northam Rd at 2.55pm and headed to Lim’s home.
The daily also reported that Lim and his wife, Betty Chew, were questioned at the MACC offices in the afternoon just before the officers decided to visit the house.
Lim and Chew had been grilled for two days by the MACC earlier this month.
Although the MACC had not revealed what the investigation was about, it is widely believed it was regarding Lim’s RM2.8 million bungalow purchase.
It was also believed linked to the Taman Manggis government land sale.
Lim and Chew had pleaded their innocence and have opened themselves up for investigation.
