Datuk Seri Najib Razak (pic) wishes he has a vehicle like
Barack Obama’s official ride, calling it a ‘lovely car’ that is not only spacious
but well-equipped with safety features.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak admitted today that US President Barack Obama’s official ride dubbed “The Beast” was more comfortable than his official car by national carmaker Proton.
Najib said he too wished he had a vehicle like Obama’s,
calling it a “lovely car” that is not only spacious but well-equipped with
safety features.
“It is more comfortable than my Proton. It feels safe
because it is bulletproof and can withstand explosives up to a certain
intensity,” he told the audience during a question-and-answer session at the
Wild Digital Conference today.
“Probably you can move the 7th fleet with The Beast. A very
lovely car, I wish I had one,” Najib explained referring to the US Navy.
The Pekan MP who shared a ride with the US president during
his Malaysian visit, also claimed that “The Beast” could easily accommodate a
four-person meeting.
He added later that it was during that ride in Kuala Lumpur
that he and the Obama made plans for a golfing trip in Hawaii.
“That's when we decided we should meet up in Hawaii for a
round of golf, in The Beast,” he said.
Obama's armoured limousine is Cadillac custom-built by
General Motors in 2009.
It's features include night vision cameras, puncture-proof
tires, oxygen tanks and armour plated fuel tanks.
The car travels with Obama during most of his official
visits and has been brought down twice to Malaysia.
Najib on the other hand, is driven around in a customised
Proton Perdana limousine provided by the Malaysian government.
