New policies and programmes not visible, claim ex-MB

Former Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim, who is also the MP for Bandar Tun Razak, lashed out at current MB Azmin Ali that since he vacated the post, the people have not seen the introduction of new policies and programmes.

Instead, they are forced to witness political conflicts as well as allegations of corruption and abuse of power.

Therefore, the former PKR leader urged his successor Mohd Azmin Ali to do the things properly.

"Make decisions that will protect the interest and welfare of the rakyat.

"All eyes will be on the extent of his cooperation in the probe regarding the allegations reported to the authorities," Khalid said in a Facebook posting.

He was referring to the report filed by PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli over the claim that money and women were solicited during discussions with the Selangor government.

Azmin dismissed the allegation, claiming that it was part of a smear campaign against his administration.

The issue also fuelled speculation of a worsening internal rift within PKR, but its leaders have refused to acknowledge this.

Commenting on his resignation, the former menteri besar said he relinquished his post in order to avoid disruptions to the effective administration and sustainable development of the state.

"Also, resignation was the most responsible thing to do since there was no honour to continue serving in the absence of trust (from my state assembly colleagues and former party comrades).

"I would never trade fairness, sincerity and integrity vis-a-vis the people of Selangor for anything, even if it could regain trust and support from my former party comrades and state assembly colleagues," added the Port Klang assemblyperson.
