Sungai Besar Umno chief Datuk Jamal Yunos has denied writing a Facebook post alleging that if Bersih 2.0 goes ahead with its Bersih 5 rally, a repeat of the May 13 racial riots will happen.
The leader of the infamous Red Shirts movement said the Facebook account with the post did not belong to him and he will lodge a police report against the fake account.
“It is not the right account. I will make a report,” he said in a statement today.
The Facebook post dated September 21 was shared by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar who said it was unacceptable for Jamal to make such seditious statements and action will be taken.
“This seditious statement is unacceptable. The police will take stern and swift action,” he posted on his @KBAB51 account today.
The post on the Facebook page titled “Dato Jamal Yunos” said that if polls reform group, Bersih 2.0, went ahead with their rally on November 19, there would be “flying parangs” and a repeat of the May 13, 1969, racial riots will happen.
