The man was beaten to a pulp for allegedly touching a woman's waist and chest, right in front of her husband.
KUALA LUMPUR: A Nepalese man was severely beaten up after allegedly molesting a newly married woman in front of her husband.
Mustam Mustapa, vocalist of busking group “Genji Busker” said the incident happened while he and his wife were setting-up for their performance in front of the Sogo shopping complex last night.
According to Mustam, the Nepalese appeared out of nowhere and proceeded to hug his wife from behind.
“He placed one of his hands on her waist while the other caressed her chest. I was shocked as I thought it was one of her female friends but it turned out to be a Nepalese man,” said Mustam when contacted by FMT.
In a fit of rage, Mustam lashed out at the man, beating him up until the man passed out.
“I know what I did was wrong, but I couldn’t control my anger. I kicked him until he blacked out. Then I noticed blood trickling down his face.
“I was worried he might have died.”
He told FMT that auxiliary police officers showed up at the scene and helped calm the situation. The Nepalese was also taken away.
Although embarrassed by his actions, Mustam said he was even more surprised at the foreigner’s boldness in molesting a woman in a public place.
He also expressed his anger at the government’s plan to bring in 1.5 million Bangladeshi workers into the country, saying that the presence of more foreign workers here was an added danger to members of the public.
He said the plan was unnecessary, and asked if there was a possibility these foreign workers would be used in some way for the general election in 2018.
“There is no need for us bring them here as there are plenty of our youth who are currently unemployed,” said Mustam.
