Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today extended his Thaipusam greetings to all Hindus in Malaysia.
Najib said Thaipusam, as an annual celebration when Malaysian Hindus fulfilled their vows, was also a time when Malaysia demonstrated to the world its true spirit of 1Malaysia.
The Prime Minister said although religious in nature, the Thaipusam celebration in Malaysia showcased diversity to the world with Malaysians respecting each other’s culture, religion and beliefs.
“We must continue to uphold these noble principles to further strengthen our solidarity and national unity in the true spirit of 1Malaysia,” he said in his message in conjunction with the Thaipusam celebration tomorrow in his blog www.najibrazak.com.
“Wishing you all a blessed Thaipusam,” he said.
